Studio News - October 2026

Hi Dancers,

A fairly quick Studio News for October!

Northbourne Studio Update

As many of you will already be aware, our Northbourne Studio is currently undergoing some air conditioning repairs. In the meantime, we have temporarily relocated to the old Xtend Barre space while work is being completed. We'll keep you updated on our return to the usual space as soon as we have confirmed dates. Thank you so much for your patience and flexibility while we get this sorted.

Welcome to Our New Teachers!

I am so thrilled to introduce four wonderful new faces to the 6P teaching team this term. Please give them the warmest 6P welcome when you see them in class!

  1. Tess Cranfield (Ballet Foundations, RAD Adv 2 and concert prep)

  2. Ellen Birch (Elementary Ballet, Beginner Pointe & Int/Adv Ballet)

  3. Catie Charles (Ballet Foundations)

  4. Kimi Farrell (Ballet Foundations)

  5. Zoe Twist (covers)

I always say it, but I genuinely have the best team. We are so lucky to have such talented people joining us and I know you are going to love getting to know them. Don't be shy, introduce yourselves! You can read more about them in their Momence bios.

Halloween Workshop

Get ready for something a little spooky! The fabulous Madelaine Fraser is bringing us a Halloween workshop that you are absolutely not going to want to miss. Maddy has just returned from three years of living and performing in the UK. During her time overseas, she worked as a dance captain, swing, choreographer, and performer across UK theme parks, including Legoland Windsor, Thorpe Park, and Chessington World of Adventures, before spending Christmas aboard The Polar Express with Warner Brothers Experiences, and will be teaching a Halloween Parade dance! If you're missing out on Disney Paris next year, come get your parade-style dance fix with us.

Expect upbeat music, joyful choreography, and plenty of spooky season fun. Everyone is welcome, there'll be something for beginners through to advanced, and there will be a prize on the night for the best costume!

The workshop will run on Halloween night from 5:30pm, and you can book in HERE!

Term 4 Enrolments Now Open

Term 4 sign-ups are now open for our enrolment-based classes! If any of the following are part of your dance schedule, now is the time to lock in your spot:

  1. RAD Ballet (Grades 3, 4 7 and Advanced 2)

  2. Teens Programs

  3. Pointe (Saturday classes)

Remember that enrolment classes cannot be booked with drop-in passes or the Unlimited Trial Pass. You'll need to sign up for the full term. Head to the enrolments page to secure your place. And don't forget, if you're enrolling in two RAD classes in the same term, you're entitled to a 10% discount. Just email us before you check out and we'll send you the code.

For RAD classes, newbies are welcome to join these classes as the students are not currently in exam prep, so if you've ever been curious, now is the time. Exams are an optional extra as always, and you are welcome to join these classes even if you don't intend to sit an examination.

Drop-In Classes During Concert Season

With concert season upon us, a reminder for those not participating that there are plenty of drop in options still available for you. You can see the full list of drop-in classes on our concert timetable page HERE.

Concert Preparations Update

Our teachers and students are working hard to prepare amazing routines and pull together a cohesive performance centred around all thing Of Myth & Magic! I’m happy to announce that all costumes have been ordered as of today. I may have gone temporarily blind but the team has been so creative with their visions, I cannot complain!

A friendly reminder for those participating that concert can be a stressful time for some students, especially those who have never performed before. Every year, our concert cast grows with 147 participants this year! When our studios and the green room at concert are so full, your kindness and patience with each other goes a long way to ensuring that concert term is a positive experience for everyone.

And the moment so many of you have been waiting for: Concert tickets will be going on sale at the end of this month! Keep a very close eye on our socials and website for the announcement. We cannot wait to see so many of you performing on stage and to cheer on our incredible community of dancers. It's always one of my favourite times of the year and this year is shaping up to be something really special. I think this may be our best concert yet.

Craft & Sewing Bee

Speaking of concert, if anyone is handy with a sewing machine, has an overlocker or loves to glue stuff on other stuff, come along to a free afternoon tea on Saturday 24th October to Studio 2 from 2-4pm. The only catch is, we want your skills! Sign-up HERE and let me know of any specific dietary requirements.

As always, thank you for being such a wonderful community. Happy dancing!
